"For me a bit of a hidden gem, a bit further away from downtown, not as big as other forest preserves in the area but a very beautiful natural area with interesting flora, loads of birds and huge trees. The north+south circuit is short but worth it"

"One of the more primitive Will County preserves where I was pleasantly surprised by the natural beauty.
While the facilities such as bathrooms, parking lots, and pavilions are well maintained, the trails are very wild and partially overgrown. Although this might sound bad, the old growth creates a wonderful forest ambiance. The many different species of flora here make each turn a new adventure.
tl/dr: Well maintained, forest adventure you need to visit.
