Anyone from Joplin have any cool spook light stories??
Back in the early 80's there was an old dilapidated trailer at the 'T' at the beginning of the spooklight road (BB hwy?) Looking at the place, it hadn't been lived in for 30 or 40 years, no stairs and the grass was overgrown to your neck. The worst condition you could think…

If your'e from Springfield, you need to know about the Joplin spook light. Anyone Here ever been? Anyone Here ever actually seen it?
I've seen it. There's nothing spooky or supernatural about it, but I can't explain what is actually going on. Some of the houses on that road have those tall yard lights up on a pole, and from a distance it looks like one of those. But as you get closer it seems to recede until…
The Spooklight; a mysterious visual phenomenon allegedly experienced by witnesses in a small area known locally as the "Devil's Promenade" on the border between southwestern Missouri and northeastern Oklahoma
I've gone hunting for that one before. I never saw it, but my father claims he has. There is a specific road in Hornet that it is supposed to be on that cars line up on most summer nights, but the original road it was seen on is much harder to find. One the original road there…

"I've seen it twice now (it's the orange light below the red ones). No explanation, DEFINITELY not Route 66. Worth the trip!"

"I want to go and see if it's as I remember from childhood.!! I am for real looking forward to a more illuminated observation than what i currently don't have a definitive inference.."

"I've been there so so many times. When young we went almost every weekend. Girls get scared and excited both. So for a date it's great!!
As a note or hint. Be quiet. 🤫. Keep watching and you will see the light. People say it's highway lights etc..
But we did our own experiments. We posted friends at the end of the road both ways. Then some of us went to the middle of the site. We saw the light dancing around to the east of us. Then to the west as well. But when flashed our lights to call the others back. Neither of them saw the lights or anyone else. No cars no people no crap.
It used to have trees hanging over the road completely blocking any light of stars or moon. You literally couldn't see 3 inches in front of you. I found a cat there once. It used to be a biker hangout. It was fun then too. Even tho I was only 10 the bikers didn't scare me. They was awesome. Especially the biker babes. I had a rowdy older brother. There is other fun place close called 3 cliffs. Or 3 tiers. It's a swimming spot. Jump off cliffs. Ask a 45-55 year old some of the best spots. They will know the old keg party places. Which are still cool 😎. Just can't bring a keg in the back of the pickup truck like ya could then."
