Horsethief Butte — black stone, golden grass, and history deeper than most of us realize. 🌾🪨 This is where Celilo Falls once roared, the oldest continuously inhabited village in North America. People lived and fished here for at least 10,000 years, maybe even 35,000. Floods a thousand feet high carved this butte in moments, revealing the basalt bones of the Gorge. Petroglyphs remain.
