What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Joan C. Edwards Stadium to be a well-managed venue with good traffic flow post-event. The atmosphere during games and concerts is often praised, and some appreciate the stadium's historic elements. However, confusion with seating row identification and a lack of clear parking signage for unfamiliar visitors are recurring points of frustration.
"It was out first time to Huntington, for the Zach Bryan concert, and we loved it!
The stadium was great; easy to access and some of the best traffic flow we've ever seen after the concert!"
A Pethel
"Attended a concert here and the venue is nice and fairly clean. Seating can be somewhat confusing as the section numbers are clearly marked, but the rows are indicated by a small number engraved in the steps, at least on the east side of the stadium. Many people struggled to find their seats because of this. Restrooms are typical of what most U.S. stadiums have, and they are plentiful. Parking, at least for the concert we attended, is very annoying as there was very little signage. A before-event email indicating possible parking locations with the ability to pre-buy parking would have been incredibly helpful for someone not familiar with the area."
Nathan Motter
"Very nice stadium. We were on the field pregame and everyone was very accommodating. I love older stadiums with rich history. My favorite part was the old school troughs in the men's room. I do not for the life of me understand why stadiums ever moved away from these. I've never seen a line to use the restroom at these. Alot of Sec stadiums have gone away from these and it sucks. The deck in the inzone is very nice. They wone the game!"

Parking and Transportation
Traffic flow after events is generally praised, with one reviewer noting it was some of the best they'd ever seen. However, this doesn't negate the potential for congestion leading up to and during event times. Clear signage for parking can also be an issue, particularly for those unfamiliar with the area, making pre-event communication from the venue about parking locations and pre-purchase options highly desirable. The stadium's card-only policy also extends to parking, so ensure you have a credit or debit card ready.
For those interested in aerial views, FPV drone footage has showcased the stadium's upgraded facilities and energetic crowds. However, it's important to note that drone usage is typically restricted within stadium grounds for safety and security reasons, and any such footage likely involved special permits.

Beyond the seating, the stadium boasts some distinctive features that evoke a sense of nostalgia for older sports venues. The men's restrooms, for instance, feature old-school trough urinals, a design element that some visitors fondly recall and appreciate for its efficiency, noting the absence of long lines. This blend of historical elements with modern upgrades contributes to the stadium's unique character. The overall cleanliness is generally on par with most U.S. stadiums, and restroom facilities are plentiful.
When attending events, remember that Joan C. Edwards Stadium operates on a strict card-only policy for all transactions, including concessions and merchandise. This means cash is not accepted anywhere within the venue. For those with service animals, the stadium adheres to ADA regulations, allowing service animals and limiting inquiries to their function, not requiring certification.
