"Excellent museum for the size of Idaho Falls. Covers natural history back to the dinosaur ages and the geology. Covers people history from the Native Americans through the founding of Idaho into a few decades ago. Has a darkened street on the first level with about 8 businesses from over 100 years ago making you feel like you’re back in time. Including the rotating exhibit - took us over 2 hours. Has several interactive areas for kids ranging from shoot the mammoth to a play area as if you’d lived 100 years ago."
Dave Cameron
"The mummy exhibits was one of the best I’ve ever seen! They had a variety of different kinds of mummies from all over the world and there was even a few mummified animals. I enjoyed the back stories of the mummies and the history lessons of the artifacts. I also really like their permanent exhibits with the different animals, fossils, history of the Old West and Idaho. It was a fun and unique way to spend a Saturday afternoon."
Christina Bennett
"The museum is full of history, it is very exciting to take the children and show them the history. The wax sculpture of the mammoth is so real, there are agricultural stations and a small demonstration of a police station, barber shop, tailor shop, candy store, among others."
