Hike Margaret's Way on Squak Mountain and Admire Debbie's View
I checked and no one has ever posted about Margaret's Way/Debbie's View, so thought I'd do an FYI. It's a moderate-rated hike in Issaquah, on the west side of Squak Mountain. The hike is 3.5 miles from the trailhead to Debbie's View, with an elevation gain of about 1,500 feet.…

Hydration is Key 💧
Carry plenty of water, especially for longer hikes, as creeks can be dry.
Trail Conditions Vary 🌲
Trails are generally well-marked, but winter storms can cause fallen trees. Rangers are usually quick to clear them.
Getting into hiking as a beginner
Going to be moving to Seattle in the next few months and want to try out hiking. I'm not the most fit person, but I can walk for hours without a break. Are there any good trails and groups for beginner hikers nearby?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Squak Mountain for its beautiful forest trails and rewarding views, particularly from Debbie's View. The park offers a range of hiking difficulties, from easy strolls to more challenging climbs. While generally well-maintained, some note the need for a Discovery Pass for parking and the potential for crowded trails on peak days.
"Had a great hike and workout here! We started from the trail head, hiked up to West peak (no view), stopped at Debbie's view (amazing view) after and then took the perimeter loop back to the main trail. All in under 7 miles of mostly hiking through the shaded woods where half the journey was uphill. Creeks if any were dried up. Doable if you're in good shape and carrying some water and stuff."

"This review is specifically about the Pretzel Tree trail. Probably the easiest trail in the area at 0.3 miles and flat with minimal ground obstacles. Although it's NOT accessible for people with disabilities, unfortunately. There is no seating along, but it's relatively short. It's the first trail directly across from the little walkway from the parking lot. Discovery Pass is required to park there. Kid friendly, dog friendly, and horse friendly. No bikes allowed on this trail."

"We did another part of this trail called as " Squak Mountain East Ridge trail" which is on North side of the main trail.
Squak Mountain East Ridge is a 5.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Issaquah, Washington that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Started Saturday morning looking for a new two and good elevations. Loved the forest feel, after sunrise we heard echo from gun range.
Quiet trail. Only came across one or two hikers in an hour. As
mentioned before trail narrows in some spots. Great if you're looking new experience."
