Visitors enjoy the natural beauty and the suitability for light hiking and family outings. However, the limited parking and lack of amenities like restrooms are noted drawbacks.

"Good for a walk, easy hiking, no elevation, good for kids too."

Andrea B

"I started from the Duthie Hill parking lot, its a short walk from the parking lot to the trail head across the road, yes watch out for bicycles on the trail, which isn't a big problem in the off season, I think in the summer months it's probably much busier, I went after a big wind storm and there were several trees down but not on the trail, there's a beautiful boardwalk section in the valley, there aren't many views from the trail, it's mostly forest but still interesting, lots of birds and good for exercise"

Alain Deppe

"Excellent natural area with many trailheads and trails. There are several wooden bridges and boardwalks. There are many stands of Western Redcedar and Douglas Fir. There are several new loops and great places to run. There is minimal parking and no restroom facilities."
