"Fort George Island Cultural State Park is one of Jacksonville’s hidden gems! I’ve lived here since 1994 and had no idea this beautiful place existed. The scenery is amazing, and the people we met were very friendly. I came across a lovely Episcopal church on the grounds, and to my surprise—peacocks everywhere! I’ve never seen so many in one place, and my son even spotted an albino (white) peacock. He was there for a Covenant School of Jacksonville cross country run, which made the experience even more special. If you’ve never been, this is definitely a spot worth discovering"

Lloyd Baruba Caulker

"Great hiking place. Very cool and neat trail. There are more trails than what is shown on Strava or All Trails. Trail connects from here to Kings Plantation. Is a good trail to spend couple of hours and then sit and relax by the riverside. I was able to see some beautiful peacocks."
