Come with me to Huguenot Memorial Park 🏖️🌞 With beautiful spring weather and summer being right around the corner, Huguenot Memorial Park is THE SPOT to soak up some sun ☀️ Their beach brings the perfect OBX vibes (if you know, you know) 🏄🏼‍♀️ The best part about the beach is that it is a drive on beach! 🚗🏝️ Having your car steps away from you on the shore makes it the perfect place to hang out...

Reviews Summary

Huguenot Memorial Park is praised for its unique drive-on beach, abundant wildlife, and serene camping experience. Visitors appreciate the uncrowded nature and natural beauty, though some note the lack of shade and pet restrictions on the beach. The park offers a distinct coastal adventure for various interests.

"At the end of the St. John's river is the Huguenot Memorial Park and Campground. It's a large sprawling area that wraps around the coast and offers endless views of St. George's sound, the inlet, and the ocean.

Entry fee is five dollars, there are reserve sites for camping available. It's not a bad place to watch the boat traffic coming up the river including some massive Cargo ships and cruise lines.
It can be more pleasant during weekdays when car traffic is relatively light. It does get fairly packed, especially on hot weekends. There is an almost permanent breeze, sometimes even strong winds day in and day out. The only trees are palm trees and various small species including scrub Oaks. Shade is almost nonexistent so be aware. It can be dicey to maneuver the area during high tides as sometimes the ocean washes out the road access.
All in all, pleasant place but more for a younger energetic crowd that enjoys swimming, kite boarding, and for fisherman"

"We had a great time. We have a porch on our toy hauler, so we sat on it watched the cargo ships go by & very nice breeze while drinking coffee in the morning and just enjoying the breeze in the afternoon. The park had a playground if you have kids. It looked really nice. We rode our ebikes through the park & down the beach. The staff was friendly and personable. The campground was very clean.
The reason for 3 stars is that our puppy was not allowed on the beach or river side. Yes, I understand that they are preserving nature, but some pet owners are responsible. I also didn't understand running water at each site. I'm very Thankful for our camper & fresh water tank. We never used the showers or restrooms that they had on site.
With that being said, it's possible we will go back. We also got to hear the National Anthem every morning at 0800. Nice."

"This place is absolutely incredible!! Not only is the beach amazing/clean/beautiful but the staff is so kind. Always open to answering questions the kids have about wildlife etc. We have seen so much wildlife in in their natural habitat which is awesome that they are preserving this for future generations to enjoy. This will FOREVER be our favorite east coast beach!"
