"We walked from Madison's Cafe past the governor's mansion to the Bicentennial Bridge and down to the park. We tried out the rope hammocks but they weren't too comfortable. Landscaping is still in progress, but the concrete path around the park next to the river is very peaceful. Views of the sunset are great. We played a game of chess on the outdoor giant chess board in the park past sunset, and appreciated the lighting along the path and near the chessboard. Some of the pieces are damaged but all the pieces are still there. Highly recommend a stroll in this delightful addition to the state Capitol area. We even had a state representative offer to take our my husband's and my photo."

The Union Hotel holds the Elizabeth Rozier Galley with changing exhibits that explore Missouri's history, art and culture. Be sure to explore the rest of the Capitol Complex. Definitely worth the trip."

"Took my family for a walk between the capitol building and over to the park on the island on the other side of the landing & when we were coming back my kids took off running up the bridge to see the train go under them. All of them absolutely loved it!"
