"We saw one of the largest paintings in the world, a part of which was made in this Mauch Chunk Museum! It was the highlight of our entire visit to Jim Thorpe in September. The exhibition even became an immersive planetarium experience with stars and fireflies. Wonderful artist! The museum artifacts and guides were great too. Saw a Scholastic published book called "Ibi's Fireflies" there and ordered it on amazon. What a beautiful story! We'll be back."

"Decent World Museum in the middle of Jim Thorpe. Has a good amount of history from the founder of the town to it being renamed after Jim Thorpe. Deathly worth a walkthrough if you have the time but it is quite small you can be in and out within a half an hour."
