Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Stono River County Park for its serene beauty, well-maintained trails, and peaceful atmosphere. It's a beloved spot for nature walks, dog outings, and enjoying Lowcountry scenery, especially at sunset. While some note the limited direct river access, the overall experience is highly positive, with many appreciating the affordable entry and clean amenities. Reddit

"This is a nice little park along the Stono River. Very accessible and easy to explore. The walking path is wide with the first 1/3 asphalt. The second 1/3 is composite decking on a raised boardwalk. The final portion is dirt/crushed gravel. With the exception of the boardwalk it is shaded and most of what is visible is marsh until you get to the end where the river is visible but not accessible. Worn and clearly well used, nicely maintained and clean. Great place for a relaxing stroll."

Bradford Chase

"Love this place. I utilize this park for.a traffic break . The restrooms are amazing always. There id an air pump, phone charging station, filtered water for dog, bottle and fountain. Its never overcrowded . You can walk to the little islands along the water and marsh. Diverse plants and trees. Found musketballs a couple times. Hosrory of battlea as we know are all around our area."

ASHLEY Mcallister Hallman (Wild Roots Alchemy)

"I absolutely love this place! Met my girlfriend here and named my dog after this river. Beautiful park, amazing views, never too busy! Great sun sets and sailboats moored in view."
