"Downtown historic Jonesborough was a nice way to spend a quiet morning. It's a very slow conservative town, don't expect to find shops open on Sunday until after church but if you want to really soak in historic North Eastern Tennessee, this site the place to go. The small town charm is everywhere you look, most people will say hello to you as you walk by and everyone you come across will be helpful and quaint. It's an adorable area that is worth visiting if you happen to be in Johnson City, just try and take the scenic way in if you can. The countryside and houses leading in to Jonesborough are stunning and is certainly worth the detour."
