What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Juniper Springs is celebrated for its stunningly clear, vibrant blue main spring and the adventurous 7-mile kayak run through wild Florida landscapes. Visitors appreciate the natural beauty and opportunities for wildlife spotting. However, some note that the grounds could use maintenance and the admission price might be considered high for the amenities offered.
"I recently celebrated my 22nd birthday at Juniper Springs, and it was the perfect escape! This place offers genuine relaxation that no city can ever recreate.
• The Swimming Area: The main spring is unbelievably beautiful. The water is pristine, vibrant blue, and crystal clear. It's the ultimate stress reliever.
• The Kayak Adventure: We took on the 7.3-mile kayak run must departure before 12 and picked up before 5. It was exhausting and felt wonderfully never ending, pushing us through pure wilderness. It was the best kind of challenging and incredibly peaceful ride until a random black bug bit me and flew away. Be prepared to see lots of wildlife! There are points where the water gets shallow and you'll encounter downed trees maybe end up in a couple due to the stream, meaning you might have to get out to maneuver the kayak. You'll feel like turning back, but DON'T GIVE UP—the end is worth it!
• Crucial Pickup Tip: verify what time u have until to be picked up. The end of the run can be tricky! To find the pickup spot, paddle until you pass under the main bridge. Look immediately to the right to find the designated pull-out area. We took our bags luckily, called the park office, and they came to pick us up. Don’t miss that bridge landmark!
Highly recommend Juniper Springs for a genuine outdoor reset."

"One of my favorite springs in FL to go to. They banned jumping in which is the reason for 4⭐. Other than that this place has all of the amenities needed to have a great time with family & friends. Also a great place to capture some nostalgic photos of the real Florida country side."

"The water is beautiful, but the spring is on the smaller side, and the kayaking trail is very narrow and shallow. The grounds are not well maintained, it looks like nothing was fixed since the last few hurricanes. The mill is in good condition and very charming. The facilities left a lot to be desired and the admission price was pretty steep all things considered."
