"Lovingly and thoughtfully curated. The building itself is part of the enjoyment. Their treatment of the indigenous peoples’ history felt respectful and appropriate. Many original artifacts and authentic objects to feast your eyes upon. One of our favorites was the original 19th century pinewood bar that has had quite a journey to reach the collection. Highly recommend if you’d like to break up a week spent hiking in the surrounding lands."

"The Historic museum gives a lot of good local information about the country side and what it was like back in the late 1800's and in 1900's. I enjoyed learning about Linderman and how big of an impact he had in legislation on acquiring land for the Kooteani tribes and other Native American Tribes. I bought 3 books he's written. Well worth the visit!"
