What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the high-quality, Broadway-caliber productions at Rivertown Historic District Kenner, praising the talented actors and intimate atmosphere. The main drawback is the uncomfortable seating, with many recommending bringing a cushion. Despite this, the excellent value and engaging performances make it a must-visit for theater enthusiasts.
"No photos were allowed during the performance... but want to say that the production of "Once upon a Matress" was very well done recreation of the Princess & the Pea. Charachters were very engaging, sound was at a perfect level, singers were on point! There was a little ballet, a little tap, & a lot of laughs. The show started at 7:30 & lasted till 9:30 with a brief Intermission & concession stand was open. Well worth the $45 per ticket for center row. Although I must say you could have seen everything just fine from any seat in this theater."

"We just saw their production of Dear Evan Hansen and it way, way exceeded our expectations! The quality of the performances, music and sets just blew us away, and it's a beautiful space to see a show. We're not theater people but after seeing this we can't wait to check out future productions."
Vinny Licursi
"This theater seems have good shows but it is horribly uncomfortable. Meemaw was a great show. I've been to rivertown a few times. The productions have always been good. The seats are hard, they don't have arm rest, and they're way too close together. Surely management can do better than this. Chairs are not that costly. The theatre is always full so I know y'all can afford comfortable chairs.if I go again I will bring a cushion. I saw a few others who brought their own cushions. Sad π€"
