Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Thundering Brook Falls for its stunning beauty and remarkable accessibility. The short, boardwalk trail is a major highlight, making it enjoyable for all ages and abilities. While the falls are most impressive with ample water flow, the serene setting and the unique experience of walking a portion of the Appalachian Trail add to its appeal.

"Really nice falls with an easy and scenic hike. The road from 100/4 to get there was scenic as well, with a nice lake on the way. Trail is about 10 mins each way at a leisurely pace, mostly on a board walk. Also spent a few minutes at the stream that is right off the trail. Went early October and was a bit surprised that the falls were flowing. Didn't expect any water since it was fall and little rain leading up to my visit here. Very serene and scenic location. This is seemingly on the Appalachian Trail. About 5 or 6 parking spots, which should be ample most times, but may be crowded during summer. No bathrooms - the bushes are your friend."

Jimmer Wagner

"What a delightful trail! A very short 5-10 minute stroll along the boardwalk to get to the gentle cascades. Lovely shading. Wildflowers were out and beautiful. Accessible for all. Included a tiny stretch of the Appalachian trail."

S Gf

"Very short 0.5 mile round trip walk to the waterfalls starting on the Apalachian trailhead, the waterfall was miserably small at this time first weekend of October probably due to the ongoing drought in Vermont, so there is not much to see. Parking area was small. There is just a little fall colors on the mountain visible on this trail."
