We had an awesome (and very windy!) day at @valleyforgepark - the Visitor Center and the Trolley were shut down (water main break, ugh) so we pivoted... we uber'd to Washington's Headquarters and explored and hiked that section... then we uber'd to Artillery Park - our driver took the scenic route so we saw the Memorial Arch and Wayne's Woods and Wayne's Statue) and explored and hiked around there...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Valley Forge for its historical significance, beautiful natural setting, and free admission. The Visitor Center is highlighted as an excellent starting point with informative exhibits and helpful staff. Many appreciate the self-guided driving tour and the opportunity for outdoor recreation like walking and biking.

"Valley Forge was a great experience. I highly recommend the driving self tour. We went to each of the 10 places on the loop. So many interesting sites along with podium descriptions. Beautiful nature setting as well. I only wish I lived closer, I would go every day to walk the paved walking path or the trails. And it is all free!!"

"The visitor center was great. I love going through the museum and getting a lot of the information very informative. I also saw the front desk, of course and got my passport stamped and then I went for the 19 minute movie which was also very informative and very enjoyable. The staff was great. The store was very nice. Well organized, and everyone was able to explain to me where everything was at which helped to make the rest of the park very enjoyable if you go here, I definitely suggest going to the visitor center first grabbing a map, but make sure that you get there early in the day as there is so much to see and do here. There are two other locations on the grounds that are only open until 5 PM that you can walk-through and there is someone there that can also give you information on the buildings once you get to them. Happy travels."
