Reviews Summary
Bonnet Creek Resort is praised for its beautiful grounds, spacious suites with kitchens, and extensive pool complex, making it a great option for families. However, some guests have encountered issues with check-in efficiency and high-pressure timeshare sales tactics.
"I 100% enjoyed my stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Of all the Wyndham resorts I've visited this one is the nicest by far. It's absolutely beautiful. Several towers, several pools, 2 lazy rivers and the landscaping is amazing. The resort offers plenty to do when you're not visiting the nearby amusement parks.
On the negative side, check-in was a total disaster. I won't give the name of the young man who assisted me, but he either didn't know what he was doing or just didn't care. His explanation of the amenities was rushed and unclear. His overall demeanor was one of impatience and distraction. He couldn't answer any of my questions. He went to the "back" several times for clarification but still could not explain anything to my satisfaction.
There were several counters besides the main check-in desk staffed by employees who didn't seem to be doing a whole lot except posing and wearing the Wyndham attire.
I did receive professional assistance from a staff person named Maroun. I mention his name as he was the only person I encountered on that first day who was attentive and courteous. He was very helpful and gladly answered my questions.
The other drawback was Wyndham no longer provides transportation to the amusement parks and I did not find them helpful in offering alternatives. Again, Maroun to the rescue. Uber is available for $4-$5. For those with mobility issues such as scooters or wheelchairs there is a company called Mears. Cost is $9-$12 per ride.
All in all I enjoyed my stay at Bonnet creek. I must add I never had such a long list of chores I needed to complete prior to checking out. It's been a week since I've been home and I'm still waiting for the release of the $250 credit hold they placed on my card."

"Fantastic location. Rooms were clean and spacious. Service was outstanding. Never waited longer than 8 minutes for a request, and we were in Tower 3, sixth floor. The kids loved everything. I think we could have skipped Disney and just enjoyed the resort!"

"If I could give negative stars, I would. Not for the location and hotel itself, which are great, but for the Club Wyndham liars and manipulators. My husband and I are owners and took our 2 year old here to get away for a bit and be close to Disney for her. After checking in, we were directed to another counter. From there, we were immediately lied to. Paolo, who stated he was the concierge, told us that there was a note in our account that Wyndham tried to call us regarding their system going from Club Wyndham to Travel & Leisure and that we needed to set up the account. My husband asked if this was something that could be done over email, we were told no. It had to be done in person on the second floor. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to go just to set up the account so there would be no issues. My husband clearly told Paolo that if there was anything mentioned about sales, we were leaving. Paolo assured us it wasn’t sales, just getting set up with their new system. The next morning we went in and met with Stefano who stated that downstairs had put us as a sales meeting. We told them no, we’re not doing that. Stefano went and got a manager. The manager spoke with my husband and said they would give us $125 gift card to just stay for the meeting. Reluctantly, we agreed. 45 minutes turned into 3 hours of basically being told that we missed a deadline for deeding our account because we didn’t answer a phone call from Wyndham, we were about to be hit with over $700 a month extra in fees, and that they would get with the VP of the company to see how they could help us out. Stefano then sneakily tries to come back that he had a great deal for us, we could be deeded and roll the fees over into one small amount and we wouldn’t have to pay the fees in the future. Upon looking at all this paperwork, this company was trying to get us to sign that we would take a loan of $28,000 with more points in our account to use. After going through this for hours, we told them no. Stefano then comes back and says he can get our monthly down. This time the paperwork was to take a loan for $14,000. After the second time, they were FIRMLY told no by my husband and they continued to threaten that if we didn’t do this our fees are going to increase drastically but adding more to the loan would help and we could just pay for the fees with the extra points we buy.
If I see a dramatic increase in any monthly maintenance fees, we will be getting a lawyer which we are considering anyway for the manipulation and emotional trauma this experience and company has put upon us. Don’t ever get a timeshare, ESPECIALLY with Wyndham."

Exploring the Suites at Bonnet Creek
When choosing a suite, it's important to understand the difference between resort buildings and timeshare units. Timeshare units, often acquired through offers or resale, tend to be larger and better equipped for extended stays, sometimes including washer/dryer facilities. However, as noted by some travelers, timeshare units may not offer daily housekeeping, which is a consideration for those who prefer daily service. Regardless of the building, the spaciousness and amenities of the suites are consistently praised.
Key features to look for in a suite include:
* Full Kitchen: Equipped with appliances for cooking and dining.
* Multiple Bedrooms: Ideal for families or groups.
* Living Area: With sofa beds for extra sleeping space.
* Private Balcony: For enjoying the Florida air.
* In-unit Laundry: A significant convenience for longer trips.
The Aquatic Paradise: Pools and Lazy Rivers
Families with younger children will appreciate the dedicated kids' splash pads, providing a safe and fun environment for little ones to play in the water. Beyond the pools, the resort also features waterslides, adding an element of thrill for older kids and adults. The sheer variety and number of water features make it possible to spend an entire vacation enjoying the resort's amenities without ever leaving the property.
Tips for enjoying the pools:
* Arrive early: Popular spots and loungers can fill up quickly, especially during peak times.
* Consider a cabana: For a more private and comfortable experience, especially if you plan to spend the whole day by the pool.
* Stay hydrated: Florida sun can be intense; bring water bottles and take advantage of shaded areas.
Navigating Timeshare Offers and Sales Tactics
These sales presentations can be time-consuming and emotionally draining, with some guests feeling manipulated or threatened with increased fees if they don't purchase. It's crucial for visitors to be aware of these potential sales pitches and to firmly decline if they are not interested. If you are approached, clearly state your intentions upfront and be prepared to leave if the conversation shifts to sales.
Key takeaways regarding timeshare offers:
* Be firm: Clearly state you are not interested in purchasing a timeshare.
* Read the fine print: If you do attend a presentation, scrutinize all paperwork before signing.
* Set boundaries: If you agree to a meeting, set a clear time limit and stick to it.
* Consider the value: Weigh the cost and commitment of a timeshare against your travel needs and budget.
