What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible immersion and attention to detail in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, calling it a must-visit for fans. The rides, particularly Rise of the Resistance, are highlights, and character interactions add to the magic. However, some find the dining options limited and expensive, and souvenir prices can be very high.
"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We highly recommend this Disney park, as we found the other parks to be less worthwhile in terms of time and cost. This park provides an exceptional experience for all family members. Ride wait times were minimal, and the attractions were thrilling.
However, we noted a limited selection of restaurants within the park, and those available were quite expensive with limited seating. We would advise against dining within the park."

"The attention to detail makes this place. I have long been a fan of Star Wars and this area did not fail to please. On a busy day the queues can be quite long but a fast pass makes a big difference.
The interactions you can experience make the visit. I was accosted by the Mandalorian, one storm trooper patrol and eventually kylo Ren. All quite entertaining even at my age. There are places to retreat if it gets hot and plenty of water stations:
I would recommend the ride Rise of the resistance. It suits all ages and we went away with a severely autistic child and she loved it.
The staff were very approachable and we never had any issues during our visit."

"For starwars fans it's fantastic. And non fans well you will be amazed too. The detail in the sets are brilliant and at night they look even better. Later in the night all light sabre fans come together for group photos..."

Building Your Own Lightsaber at Savi's Workshop
When you enter Savi's Workshop, you'll be guided through a storytelling process that builds anticipation. The workshop itself is dimly lit, adding to the mystique. You'll select your hilt style (Peace and Justice, Elemental Nature, Protection and Defense, or Power and Control) and then choose a kyber crystal that determines the color of your blade. The moment your lightsaber ignites for the first time is truly magical.
While the cost is substantial, many visitors find the experience to be one of the most memorable in Galaxy's Edge. It's not just about the physical object; it's about the storytelling, the craftsmanship, and the feeling of being a part of the Star Wars universe. If you're a dedicated fan, this is an experience that's hard to pass up.
The Thrills of Rise of the Resistance
Due to its popularity, Rise of the Resistance often has long wait times. Disney offers Individual Lightning Lane purchases for this attraction, which can significantly reduce your wait, though it comes at an additional cost. Alternatively, arriving at park opening and heading straight for the attraction can sometimes yield shorter waits, but this is not guaranteed. The ride is designed to be experienced by a wide range of ages, though some intense moments might be startling for very young children.
The level of detail and storytelling in Rise of the Resistance is unparalleled. From the moment you step into the queue, you are transported to a galaxy far, far away. The seamless integration of different ride systems and live performances creates a narrative that is both engaging and breathtaking. It's an experience that truly embodies the magic of Star Wars at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Dining and Drinks in Batuu
No visit to Batuu is complete without a stop at Oga's Cantina. This lively watering hole is a hub for smugglers and scoundrels, offering a variety of unique alcoholic and non-alcoholic concoctions. The atmosphere is electric, often featuring a DJ (DJ R-3X, a former droid pilot) spinning tunes. Reservations are highly recommended, as this is one of the most popular spots in the land. Be prepared for a lively, sometimes crowded, environment.
Beyond these main establishments, keep an eye out for smaller food carts and stands offering themed snacks and beverages. Bringing your own snacks and water is also a smart strategy, as dining within Galaxy's Edge can be pricey. However, the immersive theming and unique offerings make it a worthwhile part of the overall experience for many visitors.
