"After having lunch at a local restaurant, we visited here before entering the train. Wow, to look back at the clothing, dresses & such they had was a step back in time. What a great time we had viewing everything. Thank you for preserving all those things. Very much appreciated."

"Lake Placid has done a phenomenal job and attracting historical seekers to visit their town. The historical society, Depot Museum is a phenomenal place with an incredible staff of volunteers. The museum is stocked full of artifacts that are nicely displayed. The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I took the Sugar Express Steam Train in to town from Clewiston Florida.
There’s just so much see you in this town I will have to revisit.
If you’re into murals, make sure you pick up a four dollar magazine that gives you a complete listing and map with details of each Mural throughout the town."
