Visitors rave about Turtleback Falls, calling it a 'hidden gem' and 'worth the hike.' The natural water slide is a major thrill, and the beauty of the falls is consistently praised. However, many caution about the challenging, muddy, and slippery trail, especially in the final section, and warn of dangerous currents if swimming.
"Beautiful sight and waterfall was worth the hike to get to it!
Its a hidden gem to be honest with the trail a little over 2 miles and some difficulty at the last quarter mile.
It was not swimmable at all was dangerous to go into the current that was too strong and could easily pull you down in the river down to the big waterfall.
The hike itself was moderate not too easy a little challenging sometimes with steep inclines and slippery stairs. Going into this it seemed like it was easy enough but near the end it was super muddy and slippery with the rocks.
Overall excellent bonding hike teamwork helps here and fun for the views!"

"Almost a 2 mile hike but totally worth it! I feel like we parked on the side of the road in high school and walked in. Anyway, being a strong swimmer and upper body strength a plus. Make an afternoon of it and pack a lunch. Oh, solid trout fishing 40yds upstream."
