What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium for its fun atmosphere, family-friendly environment, and classic ballpark charm. The long-standing tradition with the Detroit Tigers adds to its appeal. However, some find ticket and concession prices to be on the higher side for a Spring Training venue.
"Very nice stadium with a capacity of 8500. There are quite a few shady seats for hot summer day games.
The stadium was built on the grounds of a former air field that trained WWII pilots. Several of the hangers from the 40’s are still there.
Plenty of free parking and the tickets are very inexpensive."

"I came here a year ago to watch a spring training game between the Red Sox and Tigers. It was a fun park but I was a bit upset the tickets were expensive and we only got grass seats. I am not sure if I bought the tickets from the right place or not, but I was a bit annoyed that they cost so much for a spring training game. What I did like, however, is that they sold collectibles from both teams, and I ended up leaving with a signed Jason Varitek poster. Great game to go to, but very pricey for just a spring training game. We should have at least gotten better seats for what I paid for. Still, baseball isn't cheap and I had a fun time."
Adam Phelps
"One of my favorite places to see a spring training game. It is fairly easy to get to, parking at the Lutheran Church is inexpensive and close. The traffic is hit or miss, the closer to the opening pitch the worse the traffic gets, so get there early and it won’t be a problem. I’ll be back in the spring!"
