Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum for its authentic portrayal of Pennsylvania German rural life, interactive displays, and knowledgeable interpreters. The extensive collections gathered by the Landis brothers offer a deep dive into history, making it an educational and peaceful experience. Some note that on non-event days, certain buildings may be empty, and younger children might require more engagement to stay interested.
"Loved it! Unique, interactive displays with a mix of self-guided sections that encourage you to move at your pace. The history of the Pennsylvania Dutch and intertwine of religion make for competing visions and stories. It was especially interesting to learn about the two Landis men who collected artifacts and founded the museum. The staff were helpful and Emma was a standout interpreter - very genuine, knowledgeable, and helpful! Entrance fee is reasonable."

"Peaceful and educational. The museum has so many collections gathered by the Landis brothers - a look into the past. Excellent guided tour (shout out to Ashley) included in admission. Also the museum gift shop is not to be missed - well stocked with local handcrafts. The gift shop is also accessible without having to pay admission, so it's worth a visit even if you don't have time to tour"

"Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum offers a truly immersive journey into the agricultural and rural community from the 18th to early 20th centuries. It's basically a living history experience. Walking through the village, stepping into historic homes, craft shops - all furnished and equipped as they were back in the day. I am very grateful for our
knowledgeable and passionate tour guide, she provided so many interesting facts and history and details on the life back then. It's a wonderful way to connect with history beyond textbooks.
And it is a good place to test your extra sensory abilities because the energy of that land is incredible. There are many ancient trees with super powerful energy."
