"An incredible venue run by great people!
The Historic Laramie Railroad Depot is a treasure. I've had the pleasure of attending and hosting multiple events here over the past few years and the team is a delight to work with.
The team is easy-going, and the venue is affordable, beautiful, and nestled in a wonderful park full of Laramie and railroad history.
The board clearly puts a lot of thought, time, and effort into maintaining the space and keeping it beautiful and accessible to the public. My understanding is that it is completely volunteer run, and a true labor of love for all involved!
I had the good fortune to work with the 2025 board to restore the caboose in the park and they did such a wonderful job on the project, along with all of the teams that completed the work.
These folks really care about preserving history for future generations and providing a community gathering space for all kinds of events and groups!
Thank you to the folks who work so hard to keep Laramie wonderful!"

"As a Laramie native I was so excited to visit the train depot museum with my family. I have great memories of attending events and parties here while I was growing up and attending college in Laramie. A lot of work has been done to create a welcoming space and educate visitors about this historic building. We signed in and enjoyed the exhibits and model train displays.
Unfortunately we had a very negative experience with the volunteer who was staffing the museum during our visit. While we were visiting, she was drinking a beer behind the counter and made some odd comments. After we had returned from a quick walk around the depot park and farmers market we returned to the parking lot to find out car had been keyed. The volunteer was standing outside in front of our car with an odd expression on her face. When we asked if she had seen anything, she said no, and that she was sure the marks would buff out, while smiling strangely. All in all, just a series of strange interactions that made us uncomfortable. Please be sure to screen your volunteers."
