What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Veterans Memorial Park for its beautiful and moving tributes to veterans, highlighting the well-maintained monuments and placards. It's also recognized as a great family-friendly spot with excellent playgrounds and open spaces. Some visitors note that while it's a memorial, it also serves as a functional park with amenities like restrooms and picnic areas.
"As a vet, this park moved me. The monuments are beautiful. I'm so glad that this place exists because it fills a void in my heart. I brought my elderly mini dachshund, he lifted his leg at one monument and I said Don't you dare! Then I saw a lady let her dog run loose and try to call it back. That explains the pee spot at the main monument that my dog tried to emulate. People enjoy this park but show some reverence! This is not an off leash park."
Jose Martinez
"I love this park and I'm a foreign tourist. The city has done a fabulous job of honoring veterans. All the different conflicts and branches of military are represented.
Clean restrooms are beside the parking entrance."

"We had an overnight stay in Las Cruces and found this gem of a park. The name speaks for itself and had excellent placards and statues. The trail on the outside is a quarter mile long, paved and generally level. For dog owners, there are poop bags available - stop being lazy and dispose of pet waste, especially at a memorial. The pics speak for themselves."
