What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests often praise the Plaza Hotel & Casino for its excellent downtown location on Fremont Street, offering a vibrant atmosphere and easy access to entertainment. The casino's favorable gambling odds and the quality of dining options like Oscar's Steakhouse and Hash House A Go Go are frequently highlighted. However, some visitors note that certain rooms can be dated, and the noise from Fremont Street can be considerable if your room faces it.
"My girlfriend and I came here during our Vegas trip specifically to eat at Hash House A Go Go, and the restaurant was the only good part of this visit. The food was fantastic and the staff there was great. But the casino? Easily one of the worst experiences we’ve had in Vegas.
While waiting about 40 minutes for our table, we gambled a bit—both of us playing together on the same machine. When the waitress came by, we both ordered drinks, and she tells us we each have to be on separate machines to get served. Seriously? We’ve gambled at practically every major property in Vegas—MGM, Caesars, Resorts World, Fontainebleau, The D, Circa, all the Boyd/Fremont casinos—and NEVER once have we run into such a ridiculous, cheap policy.
The casino wasn’t even busy, yet they’re so tight with comps that it felt embarrassing. Even after tipping her well, she acted like she was doing us a huge favor by “allowing it this one time.” We were literally playing, not freeloading. If your casino is so desperate that you can’t comp two basic drinks to two active players, that says everything about how it’s being run.
Great restaurant, but the casino is a joke. Wouldn’t waste another dollar here."

"⭐️ (1 star out of 5)
I recently stayed at the Plaza Casino in Las Vegas, and honestly, the experience was pretty disappointing. The room was very basic and didn’t have much to offer. There was an odd smell when I first walked in, and the bathroom was so small that once you’re inside, it’s hard to even close the door. The shower drain was broken, there was no coffee maker, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Overall, the room just felt dated and not very well maintained.
As a previous smoker, I’ll admit the casino floor smelled heavenly of smoke, for non-smokers, it might be overwhelming.
The pop-up pizza place downstairs had terrible customer service, and the pizza was barely cooked, which was really disappointing. On a brighter note, the gift shop actually had cheaper souvenirs than most other places selling the same stuff, which was a nice surprise.
The location is convenient if you want to be downtown, near Fremont where all of the action happens. For the price, I expected way better comfort, service, and upkeep.
Needless to say, we will not be staying here for our next trip In March 2026"

"The Plaza consistently delivers great customer service every time I stay. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make the experience feel personal — something you don’t always find on the Strip anymore. The rooms are updated, modern, and always clean, with everything kept in top shape.
For the price, the Plaza remains one of the best values in Las Vegas. It keeps that old-school Vegas charm while offering the comfort and reliability of a well-run modern hotel. I’ll absolutely keep coming back — they’ve earned my loyalty."
