Issues occur and staff always delivered on their promises of assistance and in many cases gave us unbelievable surprises like an upgrade to our room ! The prices were fair. The shows were excellent specifically the ones at the Rio hotel we did a few excursions outside of the hotel and again that was staff gave us some tips we rarely felt we needed to leave the casino because various restaurants on site were so fantastic and service was great Servers bartenders security, etc. every time we needed to speak with someone about something it was over the top fantastic service! We highly recommend Staying here!"

"We received an offer for complimentary rooms at the Rio in Las Vegas. We gave it a try to see if it had changed . We both agreed it’s hopefully going in the right direction but to spend time here you must understand you will be in the middle of this transition.

It’s hard to say if they will fully achieve their goal, when renovations are completed. Right now the Rio still feels dated and dark in many parts of the casino . The dining we chose was expensive and just okay nothing great especially for the price .

The staff seems over worked and unhappy throughout the facility.

We both would agree when you go on vacation you want to feel welcomed . From the valet being full by 3 pm when we went to check in, to being greeted by a kiosk we didn’t get that warm friendly welcome.

The rooms was spacious but when we walked in our room it was hot and didn’t have that fresh clean feel about it. We had to ask for more towels daily as they provided one towel for two people for two days .

We gave it 3 stars only because the rooms were complimentary but if I would have had to pay for them it would be 2 stars. No one wants to go on vacation and feel they are in the middle of a remodel. The reason people go on vacation is to get away and enjoy a nice place to relax .

The Rio has a loooooong way to go before it even catches a glimmer of what it was 20 to 25 years ago.

Good luck Rio , we doubt we will be back to see it . It was a rough stay for us. We already booked our stay elsewhere for the New Year."

"I've been coming to rio with my family for a while now. We are not too big on the strip and so rio is a perfect spot for us to stay. However, my most recent trip wasn't the same.

I was given $25 credit to use every night and was told that I can use it at any restaurant besides the burger and pretzels place on the second floor. When I was checking out, however, I received a bill for all the food I bought without the $25/night compensation. The front desk was helpful and kind, they actually removed all my food charges and handed me a receipt without a single food charge. And I left that week thinking it was an amazing stay with great accommodations, except my credit card bill showed that those charges weren't dismissed.

When I found out I have been charged, I called rio. First off, I am not a fan of the AI they use. First time I called, I gave AI my information and was told they will be reaching out in 2 to 3 days. They didnt. Called again for the second time, same thing. Then I asked for a live agent, but AI had to confirm with me that I wanted to chat with a live agent about 3 times before actually transferring the call. What a waste of my time.

When I finally talked with a live agent, I was told that those charges were supposed to be removed and it indicates in their system that they were removed. Then they told me to give it a few more days, and if the charges are not dropped, I can dispute the charges with my credit card company. I should've asked for a written confirmation at that point in time, because when I called my credit card company, they wanted some written proof of why im disputing the charges.

So I call rio again, having to ask the ai to get me connected to a live agent 3 times, only to be met with a news that they can't give a full refund of that charge. The reason being, there is nothing on the system that says those charges are cleared. They said they won't be able to honor what they did at the front desk, nor the phone call I had with an agent before.

The money itself wasn't a big deal for me, but the fact that I was given the confirmation twice of my charges being cleared, and then going on to say something completely opposite the third time I reach out is making me very frustrated about rio, and I probably won't come back here. I have lost my trust with how they handle such issue and no longer worth it to continue being a customer."
