What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests generally praise the Silverton Casino Hotel for its unique attractions like the aquarium and free mermaid shows, comfortable renovated rooms, and friendly staff. The adjacent Bass Pro Shops and free parking are also frequently highlighted as positives. However, some visitors find the casino floor to be 'tight' with slots, and a few have experienced issues with drink service or promotional offers not being honored.
"Recently spent 3 nights here. Room was nice, bed was comfy and the bathroom was impressive. Also front staff and housekeeping were all very nice. There is a variety of places to eat. The aquarium was impressive and the mermaid and the underwater diver shows were free and lots of fun. It's also connected to the Bass Pro Shop that had tons of interesting stuff. I'm not a hunter or fisher but I found a bunch of great buys like a snuggly blanket that I adore as well as some great fluffy socks and a bunch of old time candies that are hard to find. They had a great clothing section for men, women or children (not just for outdoorsmen or campers). Also we were there in early November and they had a great selection of Christmas things. I ran out of energy before I saw everything but I was so glad I went in there. I left with a cart full of stuff. Also they have a fish tank there that is completely separate from the one in the Silverton. I don't know how big it was but it had to be hundreds and hundreds of gallons. I got a picture of a fish in there that had to be 6 to 8 feet long. I'm not much of a gambler but they have machines and tables to please anyone who wants to do some gambling."

"I've stayed here on two separate occasions. The first was in March 2022 and the second was April 2025. My first experience back in March 2022 was not the greatest, however, this was before the renovations. I am glad that I did not write this place off after my first experience and gave it another try. My second experience in April 2025 was wonderful! The renovations really have aesthetically made the hotel look much better and just gives the hotel an updated look. I felt on my second visit my room was cleaner and the staff was definitely more friendly and easy to talk to. I like that the hotel has space to walk or sit around outside. The hotel is located away from the strip and won't be the cheapest hotel that you find in the area. If you are planning to spend most of your time on the strip this may be an issue as paying for taxis, Lyfts, and/or Ubers do add up quickly. I personally preferred to be away from the strip so this wasn't a deal breaker for me. Based on my second experience at the Silverton, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others."

"Easy to get a drink at the bar. For some reason my promos and offers are never available to me when I arrive the days advertised. Im told to just wait till next week to do it. Call me crazy but isn't the more points you rack up during a month equal more draws you have to possibly win a grand prize at the end of the month,? Even with the extra draws long shot to win. But your odds better. I never have any draws in the pot anyways because each week I should just wait for next week and start there. Hmmmmm. Food is okay. The fine is Comparable to Denny's or truck stop diner if you will. The resturants are okay too. Probably better off just grabbing drinks at the bar and gaming for a couple minutes before hitting another casino. Just my advise. Slots are calibrated tight. Not a lot of happy hoorahs throughout the floor. If you like rustic this may be a good scene. 55 and older crowd catered too very well it seems. That a plus."
