What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unparalleled panoramic views from the SkyPod and the unique dining experience at Top of the World. The thrill rides are a major draw for adrenaline junkies, though some find them intimidating. While the location is a bit north of the central Strip, many find it accessible and a good value, especially with happy hour deals.
"Worth the trip for this iconic view. The hotel itself has most likely seen better days. I took the monorail to Sahara which looks and smells wonderful. The walk is just 5 blocks or so away. I would not stay but the view‘on top of the world’ is very much worth the trip. Since I not a dare devil it was perfectly of that the jump was not working but, there were some brave souls who ride the free fall needle up top. I was very content to just stand almost the wind outside. Initially, I thought it was an indoor viewing but, no you can go to 109th floor and walk out to see old and new Vegas. Once you get your ticket ( got mine in Groupon) you can go as many times until days end. It might be a truly nice sight in the evening. I was 1 and done. A trip to the shooting range and some time at Sahara could make it a nice day trip for early and late views without staying at the Strat. The hotel is not in a great area and even the air in the lobby is stagnate. Once in the elevator it is a bucket list ‘I was there’ thing to brag about.
No car the monorail 3 day pass on my phone . It was nice to get and out of that part of Vegas. I started the trip after spa inside Linq. Never had to park a car. Lastly, unlike so many places in Vegas this sight was not crowded and you can enjoy the sights a breeze for a while undisputed. I got a little kick out of people watching those who cannot dal with heights were in and back out quickly."

The atmosphere is thrilling and unique, offering attractions like the SkyJump, Insanity, and Big Shot for adrenaline seekers, while also providing a more relaxed option for those who just want to enjoy the views and ambiance. The Skypod is impeccably maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommended!"

Experiencing the SkyPod Views
For the most memorable experience, timing is key. Many travelers recommend visiting approximately 40 minutes before sunset. This allows you to witness the transition from daylight to twilight, and finally to the dazzling neon spectacle of the city at night. The views are truly transformative as the desert landscape gives way to a vibrant adult playground.
Beyond just looking, the SkyPod offers opportunities to learn about the city's geography and history through informational displays. It's a chance to step back and appreciate the vastness of the Mojave Desert and how Las Vegas has become a beacon of entertainment within it.
Adrenaline-Pumping Thrill Rides
Other notable rides include Big Shot, a vertical drop ride that launches you upwards and then plummets you back down, and Insanity, a spinning ride that extends riders out over the edge of the tower. Each ride offers a unique and intense experience, pushing the boundaries of what it means to have fun at extreme altitudes.
While the rides are a major draw for thrill-seekers, it's important to be aware of the safety protocols and any physical limitations. The views from these rides are secondary to the sheer adrenaline rush they provide, making them a must-do for anyone looking to test their courage high above Las Vegas.
