What Travellers Say

Visitors praise the stadium's impressive renovation, highlighting the state-of-the-art facilities and electric game-day atmosphere. The new scoreboard and overall design are frequently commended. However, some guests have noted significant issues with the availability and accessibility of men's restrooms, particularly in the older sections of the stadium.
"Exquisite. The stadium is part of amazing $300M, remodel. 2/3rd of the facility is completely done. The other side of the stadium needs to be rebuilt. I'll have more updated pics from inside the facility. Its truly well designed and state of the art.. I hope you enjoy the pictures. And if you're in Lawrence stop by for a tour. Cheers 🍻"

"Opening night at The Booth did not disappoint! They did a phenomenal job on the side that's been completely redone. The bleachers on the east side will be torn down and rebuilt like the new section in time for the 2026 season from what I understand. Phenomenal atmosphere. It was truly electric. Can't wait to see what this place looks like when it's finished next year!"

"I waited 2 years for today's football game. KU vs. KSTATE.
The field is beautiful, the jumbotron was awesome. The sound system was ear shattering. There were more concession stands and "cafes" than I thought possible...
All great stuff. But, I have to point out the obvious... WHERE ARE ALL THE MENS ROOMS?
Obviously, bathroom facilities for this place must have been an afterthought. The lines to the men's room was packed the entire game.
I am old and need to make frequent stops, this expected convenience was woefully bad for guys like me.
For the outlandish price on this remodel one would expect a lot more accessibility to a men's room.
I hope you do better on the east side."

The Grand Renovation
Phase 1 of the renovation has largely been completed, introducing state-of-the-art features and a visually striking design, including the iconic K-Flag seats. However, the east side of the stadium still features the original bleachers, with plans for a complete rebuild expected by the 2026 season. This phased approach allows for continued use of the stadium while modernization progresses.
Visitors can expect a blend of the historic charm of the original stadium with cutting-edge facilities in the newly constructed areas. The scale of the project, involving thousands of tons of steel and extensive precast erection, is a testament to the commitment to revitalizing this iconic venue.
Game Day Atmosphere
The stadium's recent upgrades, including a massive, high-resolution jumbotron and an improved sound system, further enhance the spectator experience. These additions ensure that fans have a clear view of the action and are fully immersed in the game.
Fans often highlight the friendliness of the stadium staff, who contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you enter until you leave, the dedication to providing a positive fan experience is evident.
Navigating the Stadium
While the renovated sections offer modern amenities, some visitors have noted that restroom facilities, particularly in the older east side, can experience long lines. This is something to be aware of, especially for those who may need frequent access.
For parking, consider alternative solutions like renting private spots through services such as Prked. This can be a more convenient and less stressful option than relying solely on traditional stadium parking, which can fill up quickly on game days.
