What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Whiskey City Skatepark is praised for its unique, challenging terrain and unlimited lines, making it a favorite for experienced skaters. Visitors appreciate the lights for night skating and the generally friendly locals. However, some find the steep transitions difficult for beginners, and one review noted an uncomfortable social vibe at times.
"Always fun and even has lights, which should be a skatepark standard. 😎
Blacklist (best board shop ever) is a few blocks away and there's a dollar general right across the street, as well. If using Google maps for directions, look up the durbin bowl rather than Lawrenceburg Skatepark or it'll send you to the wrong spot.

"Fun place to skate. Friendly locals. Bicycle cop cruised the area a few times in the 2 hours I was there and checked in on the younger little kids. All the transitions are insanely steep, tight, and whippy, even the banks feel like they are 90 degrees and just a little too tall for the space. Aggressive bowls, not many options for beginner or intermediate, they are all big and steep and whippy. The cradle with oververt is fun but its less than a 6 ft radius, again, super whippy. Pretty much zero useable flatground area. Decent shelter. Restrooms across the parking lot. Nearby pond that smells not very nice. Lots of parking. I had fun! I will visit again."

"One of my favorite skateparks to visit. I drive the extra 15 minutes to come here instead of my more local park. It has almost every kind of skateboarding obstacle from vert ramps, to mini ramps, to a small bowl area perfect for pumping. It has a sidewalk around a lake you can go around to take a break, and a cool bridge. The skatepark is never crowded, and when there are a few people there, the locals are really nice. 100% recommend this place for both beginner skaters, and more advanced. Hell, anything on wheels would love this place!"

Skating the Unique Terrain

The unique layout ensures that no two lines are the same, providing endless possibilities for creativity and progression. The presence of lights also extends the skating day, making it a viable option for evening sessions.
