What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Freeman's Mill Park is a charming, hidden gem appreciated for its historic mill, scenic waterfall, and family-friendly playground. Visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and short trails, though some note the river isn't for swimming and smoking can detract from the experience. It's a solid choice for a relaxed outdoor outing.
"A charming little park! The falls, though small, were quite beautiful with a lovely water flow. We visited on a weekday evening and still found a fair number of people around, so it may get quite crowded on weekends. It would have been even more enjoyable if visitors refrained from smoking in such a scenic spot. The mill house was closed during our visit but still intriguing to view from the outside. The children’s playground looked well-maintained, and there's also a short trail to explore."

"My family loves this hidden gem. We take our dogs here and have went swimming also. Gwinnett county will stop by at times and not so nicely tell you your not allowed to swim or even have your feet in the water sitting on the rocks, in their defense no swimming is clearly posted-but sometimes you luck out and entire families have tents, chairs and music going having a blast in the cool river water."

"This hidden park is a solid find. Tucked away but worth checking out, it features a cool stream spot where kids and families can splash around and have a good time. The trail is perfect for a morning walk or a quick workout, and there's a decent playground for the kids to blow off some steam. It’s a little old-school, but that gives it a laid-back, chill vibe. A great spot for families or anyone looking to enjoy some outdoor downtime. Definitely a solid 10/10."
