"My husband and I went during business hours this past Saturday. No one was in the gift store and a woman came to the front and asked if we could be helped. We asked about taking a tour of the house, and she advised it was by appointment only. Of course, we asked if we could make an appointment, but she said that she was "very busy" and was working "things" out. Mind you, there was not another soul in the building. We were told we could pay $3 each to view the exhibits room only and were not given any opportunity to make an appointment for a tour. We drove from northern Colorado to Leadville just to see the house, so this was very disappointing."
