"This park is an embarrassment to the words Loudoun and beautiful. Webster defines Keep as to maintain so it is also an embarrassment to the word Keep."
Samantha Sprague
"There is a small filthy parking lot. Very rough and unkept access to about 10’ of Rocky shoreline. Random trails lead to a small shoreline littered with Corona and Modelo bottles and trash and the people along with it. The Sheriffs will not acknowledge the problem and refuse to enforce anything.
Loudoun County should be ashamed of this."
Chad Edwards
"This park is pretty much in disrepair. It's not very clean, very small, and seems like it hasn't been maintained in quite some time. To be honest, especially given the irony of the name, Loudoun may want to consider giving it up or rebranding it. I think it's mostly a boat launch for goose creek these days, which isn't even a great spot for that. There's no easy, smooth path down from the parking area. Our dog loved to swim there though so it gets a bonus star just for that."

Understanding the 'Keep Loudoun Beautiful' Paradox
Despite the negative feedback, the park does offer a point of access to Goose Creek, primarily serving as a boat launch. For dog owners, the rocky shoreline might offer a place for their pets to swim, though the overall environment is far from pristine. The presence of a few older picnic tables suggests a past intention for recreational use, but current conditions suggest it's not a primary draw for such activities.
Safety and Community Concerns
The lack of enforcement and the prevalence of litter contribute to an overall atmosphere that deters many from visiting. While the park is intended to be a public space, the current conditions and reported safety issues make it a place that many advise others to avoid.
