Reviews Summary

However, visitors note strong river currents and occasional issues with litter, suggesting a need for preparedness and respect for the environment.
"A small, quiet space to enjoy a historical American River. If you are coming here expecting high traffic, accommodations, numerous trails, etc. You will be disappointed. This space is to enjoy nature in near solitude."

"I’m not sure it deserves 5 stars but it’s a park I’ve been to and have no reason to rate it less because natural resources are stupendous. This is where I went to try to get a look at some auroras and I might have captured them. Frederick, MD is directly north so there might be some light pollution. The sky was very open which is difficult to find in this area. Please note the park is closed by dark. 😅"

"Tried to go paddle boarding. Strong current. Barely able to get much upstream even with constant paddling."
