Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Historic Fallsington for its rich history, well-preserved buildings, and the knowledgeable, friendly volunteers who bring the past to life. The village offers a charming and educational experience, especially during special events like Fallsington Day. Some visitors note that while the core historical sites are excellent, the surrounding area offers more dining variety.
"On a day in late September, which felt more like a day in late August, my wife and I visited "The Village that Time Forgot", nestled in Fallsington PA, a village founded by early Quakers. We met the Executive Director, Kimberly, at the General Store and she served as our Tour Guide. She was very knowledgeable and congenial (and also provides excellent directions!).
Our first stop was the Moon-Williamson Log House, originally built in the early 1800's and then expanded. The owner was locally renowned for his quality workmanship in wood, especially his Windsor chairs.
We then visited the Stagecoach Tavern, which looked as we envisioned it to have looked in the 18th and 19th centuries when it was in daily use.
Our last stop was the Burges-Lippincott house, which was the stately house of the town's medical doctor. It was an excellent example of how a doctor's house looked in the 19th century.
Fallsington Village is on the eastern edge of Bucks County PA, right across the Delaware River from Trenton NJ, and is easy to get to. I would urge anyone interested in 17th-18th-19th century rural American life to visit this interesting site."
