Many appreciate the variety of activities available, from swimming and kayaking to hiking and biking. While some note that amenities like trash cans are limited and food can be a bit pricey, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a favorite local spot.
"this park is a such a treat! I like to run or walk the 2.9mile loop trail, most of it is lined with towering beautiful trees. The beach is small but has everything one would need. Facilities are usually clean and available. I also kayaked, brought my own and roamed the waters. Also Great place to just lay out or on the grass. DISCLAIMER: you will need to bring your own trash bag + dispose it somewhere outside the park. There are no trash cans except for at the restaurant by the beach (Pepe’s kitchen). Also tried the Mexican hotdog, fries and icy at Pepe’s. It was a bit overpriced but hit the spot so.. if you’re lazy & don’t mind spending extra - I recommend. Overall my experience at this park is usually 10/10"
