Voiceovers still dress me out and I said pretty cool about 37 times but that’s because it was pretty cool 😂 There was a lot of things for kids of any age! It is kinda small but we spent about 2 hours just inside the museum and then it was nap and chilly so we chose a drive instead of a walk but both are very enjoyable. The place is MASSIVE and the nature aspect is absolutely beautiful, there’s so...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about White Memorial Conservation Center for its beautiful natural setting, extensive well-maintained trails, and engaging nature museum, making it a perfect low-key escape for families and nature lovers. While the grounds are vast and offer plenty of exploration, some note the lack of indoor restrooms and limited dining options on-site.

"This is a great low-key lake trail and conservation scene. I didn't get to sample the full lake trail loop but this was a good pop in on the return trip from New York before Hartford, breaking up the long miles with movement and environmental sensory grounding."

Dan Peyton

"Beautiful setting / view's in the forest. Gravel parking lot, with a few port-o-potty's here -n- there. There's a museum & the property is dog friendly with many picnic tables near the parking lot, along the fields & around the pond. Loads of wildlife life with over 40 miles (4000 acres) of clear-cut well maintained sprawling trails with wooden boardwalks through the forest."

B. Coffey

"Met up with friends and had a great time! We were nervous with young kids (19 months - 7 yrs old) and what to expect, but it was perfect for them without being too overwhelming for the parents to handle. Delightful surprises throughout including the beehive and gem cave. A nice little trip for all ages and of course very reasonable priced entry while also knowing you are supporting a wonderful local cause! The museum also includes a small play area for kids with books, puzzles, and more and the grounds outside include picnic tables, a pond, and connects to the WM trails. Plenty of space for kids to run around outside while parents can easily keep an eye on them. Will absolutely be bringing the kiddos back!"
