"We had a great time here. We all learnt something new as well. The kids had the best time with the farm animals and the gift shop has some really beautiful things to buy. We had the best weather and ate lunch in the sunshine watching the geese take their daily bath. It was just a really lovely spot and the staff are super friendly."

"A good organization that has educational displays and animals. They have age targeted scavenger hunts to help engaged the children. They win a pin for completing it. Out back they have a working micro farm and garden complete with animals. The staff is friendly and informative. We asked about a strange machine and a nice gentleman explained it was a worm rocket. He told us all about it, showed us worm casing it had sifted, then he took us to the worm bins and spent half an hour teaching us about them. Now we can start our own worm farm to help improve our soil! The gift shop also had a magnet (what we always try to get as our souvenir) and it was only $.25, though most of the gift shop was too expensive for us. The kids really enjoyed petting the goats and seeing the lamas and pigs."

"Great place to take the grandkids even if they are in college. Heifer International’s corporate headquarters and urban farm is a must visit in the downtown River Market area. Farm animals, garden crops, flowers, gift shop, guided tours, and a cafè make this a nice and educational visit for all ages."
