Jane is an incredible hostess; she is so very friendly and warm, and clearly full of love for this historic home. The house is filled with enchanting treasures that visitors are welcome to gently interact with (rare books, family mementos, letters); it feels very much alive, as if you were being hosted by a 20th century family of considerable wealth and generosity.
The kitchen is fully stocked and ideal for long-term stays, the grounds are gorgeous, the location is perfect for walking to all the charms of downtown Lodi, and everything is meticulously cared for; beds comfortable, towels fluffy and fresh, all cosy but grand. It’s not a modern hotel, but it’s superbly unique, and we feel so lucky to have stayed here. We cannot recommend it enough."
