What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Cutler Marsh Marina for its excellent launch facilities, ample parking, and clean restrooms, making it ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding. The diverse wildlife, including pelicans, eagles, and fish, offers a captivating experience. "Cutler Marsh Marina is an excellent place to put in kayaks for a peaceful paddle. The launch area has plenty of parking, a clean bathroom, and a helpful posted map that makes trip planning easy.
We visited in mid-September, and while it was hot in the middle of the day, the water was calm and beautiful. We saw a pelican, ducks, and lots of big fish that darted across the shallows when we paddled by — such a cool experience!
This spot gives you great paddling options:
• Head north toward Cutler Reservoir for more open water.
• Head south into the Bear River Zone for a winding, marshy route with more wildlife viewing.
Both directions work perfectly for a nice out-and-back paddle, so you can make your trip as short or as long as you like.
It was sandhill crane hunting season when we went, and a couple hunters were out on powerboats. The only impact was a big wake at the dock as we were launching, but it didn’t interfere with our paddle.
Overall, Cutler Marsh Marina is a well-maintained, scenic launch site with lots of flexibility for paddlers."

"Very marshy some random floating clumps of dirt in the water but overall very pretty would not swim here"

"Good place to do some kayaking and fishing. But please do not park your car right in front of the launch. The concrete barriers there are to stop you from going onto the grass. Park past the bathrooms or in the middle if you launched a boat."
