The massive, mature trees, the tight fairways, the small, tricky greens all combine to make it fun and challenging. It can feel easy if you’re striking it well, but your score can go up quickly if you aren’t. It’s currently in excellent condition, especially the greens, which are smooth and fast.
Because it is affordable and relatively short, it can draw beginners and higher handicappers so be aware of stray shots. Also, because it’s not easy, as some assume, pace of play can be slow, as less skilled golfers take a long time to get around. But, if you play at the right time, Sunset can be an amazing experience on a historic, unique course."
