Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, affordable admission, and on-site food and drink options. Some find the water murky and note that it can get very crowded on weekends.
"⸻
Wekiva Island is such a great place to spend the day. The atmosphere is relaxed and scenic, with plenty of space to hang out by the water, enjoy the views, or grab a seat by the river. There’s a nice mix of things to do — paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, or just lounging and taking it all in.
The property is well-kept, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy, and the setup for rentals and check-in is efficient. It does get crowded, especially on weekends, but the vibe stays laid-back and enjoyable.
There’s also a bar and food options on-site, so you can make a full day of it without needing to leave. Wildlife sightings are common, which adds to the natural charm.
Overall, Wekiva Island is a beautiful, fun, and well-run spot — highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing outdoor Florida experience."

"The best time!!! Rent your paddle board/ Kayak from here and paddle a short distance to the State Park Springs to take a swim 💕💕💕 We seen 5 gators ranging from 5 feet to tiny little babies. Soo much fun!"

"Cute place to canoe or kayak upstream to the spring. It was only my second time doing it and it was a great level for beginners. I love that they have drink and food options on both sides of the stream. Staff was super friendly and people there were great only con was the people smoking weed along the streams, which ruins the atmosphere other than that, had a great time. Be mindful of the time and day you come, Saturday of course was packed."
