What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Maker's Mark Distillery for its beautiful campus, engaging tours, and the unique experience of hand-dipping their own bottles. The knowledgeable and personable guides, along with the stunning Chihuly art installations, are frequently mentioned highlights. While cell service can be spotty, the overall experience is described as memorable and highly recommended for bourbon lovers and art enthusiasts alike.
"We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Taylor, went on a brisk fall day and enjoyed walking through. My favorite part was probably the fermentation room, but everything was very interesting. They currently have a Choluly Glass exhibit which added to the beauty of the grounds. Many people go for the tasting at the end, we participated, but are not really big bourbon drinkers. We went just for a fun thing to do on a Saturday in the fall. The drive from Louisville to the distillery was also quite beautiful and took us on some back back roads. I would highly recommend a visit if you’re thinking about it, whether you’re bourbon drinker or not I think you’ll have a great time!"

"We arrived a little early as we new the GPS guidance would be a problem, and it was, a little. As we got closer, we followed the signs which really made it easy! We had arrived early and reserved a table for lunch (amazing!) and then took the 'remarkable tour' with Alexis as the guide. Alexis was also remarkable! It really is a fascinating tour, and the property from the visitors center (more like art gallery!) to the gift shop, to the rickhouse, tasting room celler, and grounds are just stunning! Our hands down favorite place for dining, and tour! A must on everyones visit to the bourbon trail, and we are already planning the next visit here!"

"What fun! Our tour guide, Bailey, was so much fun! She made the tour very enjoyable!
Loved hearing the history of Maker's Mark. I'm not a bourbon drinker, my husband is. We both enjoy doing distillery tours and this one was top notch!
We had lunch at the restaurant before the tour. The fool was amazing!
They also had a Dale Chihuly display which was fantastic!!
All in all, definitely worth the time and cost!"
