What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pohick Bay Regional Park is widely praised as a beautiful, clean, and well-maintained destination ideal for family gatherings, picnics, and outdoor activities. Visitors highlight the ample shade, diverse trails, and lively atmosphere. While the park offers great boating and wildlife viewing, some suggest improvements like more picnic tables and better development near the water's edge.
"The park is a beautiful and inviting place, perfect for walking and gathering with family for barbecues. However, there is room for improvement. To better accommodate visitors, more picnic tables with seating should be installed, and additional parking spaces would ease congestion. The area near the water requires significant development—constructing a proper sidewalk would encourage sports and recreational activities while minimizing risks for children walking with their families."

"We had an amazing time with a big group. Came with Scouts to Camp Wilson, hiked the trails along the bay to the regional park. Saw all the animals and plants. Beautiful area. Huge parking lots for car, trailers, rv. Bathrooms. Snack bar. Can rent canoes and kayaks. Great boat ramp. The kids really loved seeing the non-venomous snakes, geckos, frogs, insects, deer, etc. Overall an amazing facility. We saw tons of RVs, campers and tents throughout. The place was busy and lively. I would say atleast 20+ families, couples, kids riding bikes around, playing in their playground and fields. We will be back."
