What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise the Westin Bonaventure's stunning, iconic architecture and its cinematic appeal, often describing it as a unique and visually captivating experience. The hotel's service and cleanliness are generally well-regarded, though some find the interior shopping areas dated and note that costs for parking and dining can be quite high.
"The Westin Bonaventure Hotel offers a truly exceptional experience in the heart of Los Angeles. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff made me feel welcome with their friendly smiles, professionalism, and efficiency. Check-in was seamless, and their helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options added a personal touch that set the tone for my stay.
The housekeeping team also deserves special recognition for their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. My room was spotless each day, refreshed with care, and always perfectly arranged. It’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining high standards throughout the hotel.
Between the stunning architecture, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service, the Westin Bonaventure continues to live up to its iconic reputation. I look forward to returning soon."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel about 4 or 5 times in the last 2 years. As for the location, I can say it’s very well situated, right in the heart of Los Angeles. The hotel is old but overall well maintained; the only thing that really makes it look run-down is its shopping mall area, which is practically deserted — there are about a dozen open stores left among the many spaces.
On this last trip, during the 4 nights we stayed, on 2 of them they didn’t make up our room on time and I had to go to management to ask them to do it; it’s like they forgot to clean the room two days in a row.
The parking, as everyone has said, is expensive: 52 dollars per day. Breakfast is also expensive, around 40 USD per person for the buffet, and it’s missing some basic things like more fruits, cheeses and assortment of yogurts and more side dishes. I’d recommend ordering something à la carte instead, like the three-cheese omelet, which is about 28 USD and very good.
In general, I really like staying there. They offer good service and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There’s a bar with food available 24 hours a day for night owls, and two panoramic restaurants."

"I loved the hotel and the location BUT there is a fee with everything. There is no free parking. Parking is $57 day. You can self park across the street in a parking structure for $55 a day. Then there's a $35 night destination fee. Gift shop is expensive. Everything is pricey so get ready. Expected room to be bigger but I slept so good. The mattress was great!"
