LA County General Hospital building tour thanks to the @Los Angeles Conservancy 🏥 Huell Howser visited here in 2005. Upper floors were effectively abandoned after they closed. Amazing architecture. Hope to see it tastefully restored and adapted for reuse. P.S. I think this is my first voiceover video lol sorry for the key jangling noises, etc. #lacountyhospital #losangeleshistory #losangeles #artd...

Reviews Summary

Reviews for the active medical center portion of the Los Angeles General Hospital site are mixed, with some patients reporting professional and helpful service, particularly in maternity care. However, others have experienced significant issues with rude staff, inadequate medical attention in the ER, and long wait times for basic information. The experience can vary greatly depending on the department and individual staff members encountered.

"11/23/25 10:45a.m Registration 2 , Lady at window was very unprofessional, rude and yelled at us for helping the next patient to guide them in the right direction to a window. After we told her she’s unprofessional, she still continue to mouth off to us turn another one of her lady peers. I then told the lady. That we were just trying to help and this lady is acting very unprofessional. In this hospital we are supposed to feel safe and protected in taking care of , instead we felt very uncomfortable. This lady shouldn’t be working out the window if she doesn’t like her job."

"I'll give it a zero if I could...
I came here last night due to a fall. My ER doctor/nurse was horrible! She did not provide the proper care to my knee injury she did not properly diagnose nor provided any type of knee support( brace/crutches) since I was not able to put weight on my knee she had already discharged me and if it wasn't for the lovely OB-GYN doctors who noticed that I had zero mobility tolerance on my knee they called ER and requested for me to get REEVALUATED because they couldn't believe that the ER doctor discharge without actually giving care to my knee!!!. Even after when I was requesting for her to provide me getting transported out on a wheel chair to my husband's car she was trying to denied it not until she saw herself that I wasn't able to walk and put weight on my knee even with crutches and a brace on. And after that she kept giving me faces and kept rolling her eyes at me!!! And she still didn't request me to get pushed out on a wheelchair to the front of the hospital to my husband's car who was waiting for an hour for me to come out not until I asked a nurse to please take me!!! All this while being 36weeks pregnant HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! IM NEVER COMING BACK HERE!"
