While some find it educational and well-curated, others note the explicit gore can be overwhelming. "Not for the faint of heart! This museum is very graphic. Its educational and very tasteful. The exhibits are well thought out and everything is intentional. No gore just for shock value.
It is an experience that I recommend to anyone with an interest in the macabre and the darker side of history the mainstream tream tends to shy away from."

"Great place for true crime/oddity fans, lots of interesting photos, items and information. Staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Tickets are reasonable priced. Most images are very gory and explicit so if you’ve got a weak stomach definitely be somewhat prepared for what you’ll see, but a must visit for fans of the macabre. Some sections/displays can be deemed as distasteful/upsetting but that doesn’t knock my score - just wasn’t for me. Overall had a great time!"
Georgie Scoles
"There are several content warnings before entry, but the gore was more intense than expected (so if you’re squeamish it isn’t the place for you). It was a lot- from killers to war to car crashes. I was highly impressed by the staff’s knowledge, and appreciated that they would stop by and chat about specific topics if you stopped at a section. The dark haired guy with glasses upstairs was especially knowledgeable- I appreciated his insight. I learned more than expected (as an avid serial killer podcast listener/documentary watcher/reader). The binders in the Gacy room were incredible, including letters from the museum to killers such as Richard Ramirez. Couldn’t believe how many real artifacts were there. Worth the $20!"
