What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the NuArt Theatre for its excellent selection of independent and foreign films, comfortable seating, and vibrant atmosphere. It's a beloved cultural asset for cinephiles. Some find the sliding seats a bit finicky, and parking requires planning, but the overall experience is highly recommended for its unique cinematic offerings and community feel.
"Had a great time watching "Misericordia" here followed by a Q&A with writer/director Alain Guiraudie. Beautiful, vintage marquee out front. Nice selection of theater-level food & snacks (including a vegetarian impossible bratwurst). Wine and draft beer are also available. Staff are terrific. The seats were large and comfortable and semi-reclined. The one screen in the theater is suitably large, wide and bright. Plenty of street parking in the surrounding blocks & an assortment of nearby restaurants and cafes if you want to get something before or after your show. All in all, a great theater and cultural asset where you can catch more esoteric indie film fare. Highly recommend."

"very good and neat theater. the vibe is excellent.
the chairs are a bit interesting tho. they can slide but it’s a tiny bit finicky. if you sit upright, they move too easily; if you sit a bit deeper in, there is then no lumbar support…
also there’s no dedicated parking. there is some street parking available"

"Took my 18 year old daughter to see the Rocky Horror Picture for the first time last week. The first time for me was in the late 80's when I thoroughly enjoyed it. THIS TIME, this cast of Millennial/Gen Z completely ruined the experience by interjecting a bunch of Woke political crap into what should have been a fun experience. Not only what was spoken by the MC was degrading and demeaning but one of the "staff" members chose to wear a vest with antisemitic patches and other politically driven and polarizing imagery. Way to go guys by taking something that was a special past time and ruining it."
